You and the Pavement

There you were, your ice blue eyes pierced the cold winter air
Laying still, the fears and emotions that once flooded your heart have come undone
Here these emotions are splayed out and free flowing seeping between the cracks of the pavement
A change of perception, motionless you raise your hands to the nothingness
You lay in awe of the grey sky and the melancholic harmony it has with the green and brown pine
Admiration of such harmony brings you little death and epiphany
Which leaves the bone chilling desire and a quiet reminder that the only company to accompany are the maggots, the flies and your lonesome everlasting conscience.
